Donate & Help the Environment

Instead of throwing out the clothes you never wear, please consider bringing them to the Good Buy Room.    They are likely to be exactly what someone else is looking for!!

All donations can be dropped off at the Good Buy Room, or at the Helen Bowen Branch Library in Cavendish.

We ask that all items be in good condition and clothing be freshly laundered and in good repair.  Due to lack of storage space furniture cannot be accepted.

Become a Library Volunteer PDF Print E-mail

The Galway-Cavendish & Harvey Township Public Library welcomes Volunteers! Community involvement is what makes the library special. We invite you to share your time and talents with us, and enjoy helping others with their library experience.

Enquire at the Library about it!

As Volunteer openings become available, you will be contacted for an interview. You will also need to complete the Permission to Perform Criminal Record Check form.

The Library also accepts as volunteers those participating in student and community service activities, student   intern projects, social programs (eg ‘workfare’) and other volunteer referral programs. In these cases, a special agreement may be in effect with the organization, school or programs from where these volunteers originate. Volunteers accepted under special programs will be expected to observe the rules applied to all Library Volunteers.
